Collect the order, consignment note, photos and delivery confirmation. Put them on a timeline from takeover of the goods to the damage report. Identify who can confirm their condition at each stage.
What to agree in practice
Compare the records with the operator and subcontractor agreements. Check who handles correspondence, which deadlines matter and whether the insurer needs notifying. Preserve the original evidence and the relevant system records.
