Technical data
When you visit the site, the hosting infrastructure handles connection data such as your IP address, request time and URL, browser details and error information. We rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are delivering the site, securing it and diagnosing faults.
Connection data is needed to deliver the site. It is handled for the duration of the connection. Technical logs are kept as needed for security and troubleshooting, in line with the infrastructure’s retention cycle. The practice keeps no separate visitor history.
Drafts, downloads and enquiries
The enquiry and collaboration tools handle what you type in the current page. Downloading or copying creates a file or places text on the clipboard on your device. The site does not transmit those fields to the practice or its hosting provider.
If you contact us separately, we receive the contact details and message you provide. We use them to respond and handle the enquiry. We rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract with you. For other enquiries, including when you write on behalf of an organisation, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f). We also rely on Article 6(1)(f) for information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Providing contact details is voluntary. Without the information needed to reply, we may be unable to respond. We keep correspondence while handling the enquiry and for any necessary follow-up. Evidence is retained only as needed until the applicable limitation period expires or the proceedings and enforcement are complete. If we start providing legal assistance, we give separate information on how we handle matter data.
Careers and collaboration enquiries
If you send a collaboration proposal separately, we use the contact details, experience and content you provide to assess it and reply. We rely on our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or on Article 6(1)(b) for steps you request before entering into a contract with you. We keep the data while reviewing the proposal and for necessary follow-up. If we open a separate recruitment process for employment, we provide information at the point of recruitment.
Service providers and transfers
Hosting and maintenance providers and, for separate correspondence, the providers of the channel used may handle the data needed for their services. We may disclose data to authorities entitled to receive it under applicable law. External websites and channels apply their own privacy policies.
Infrastructure services may involve processing outside the EEA. Where such a transfer occurs, the applicable service terms and Chapter V GDPR govern its basis and safeguards, including a relevant European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses where applicable. You can ask the controller about those safeguards or for a copy.
The LinkedIn link opens an external service. LinkedIn handles data under its own privacy policy. When we receive a message, the firm is responsible for processing its contents to handle the enquiry. A general topic and any important deadline are enough for a first message.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you can request access and a copy, rectification, erasure and restriction, as well as portability within the scope of Article 20. You can object to processing under Article 6(1)(f) on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can complain to the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office.
Polish rules on professional secrecy apply to the handling of legal matters, including the restrictions laid down in the Law on the Bar. The site uses neither advertising profiling nor automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
